Jamie Lambert of boy band Collabro has revealed that he is gay.
The musical theatre star, who is one fifth of this year”s Britain”s Got Talent winning act, added that he has never made a secret of his sexuality.
“No-one asked,” Jamie told The Sun. “I have nothing to hide from anybody. I think it”s really important that all gay people in the public eye just talk about it. The more that happens, the more normal it becomes.”

Jamie, 23, added that he didn”t want to be defined as “the gay one” but rather “the one who sings that line.”
The talented singer also took to Twitter and Instagram to reinforce his message.
“It”s about who you fall in love with – whether you truly love them – Not their gender. Jamie x,” he wrote, alongside a photo of himself and his band mates – Richard Hadfield, Matt Pagan, Thomas Redgrave and Michael Auger.
While Richard, Matt and Thomas have girlfriends, who they have previously called their “biggest supporters,” Jamie and Michael are the single ones in the group. Former petrol station worker Michael, 24, confessed that finding a girlfriend wasn”t easy.
Michael Auger has revealed that finding a girlfriend is hard work
“I say to the guys all the time that I don”t know how their girlfriends have stuck with them because they don”t get to see them,” said Michael. “But I suppose that now we”ve made a lot of money, they will probably want to stick around!”
Collabro have been working in the studio with music mogul and Britain”s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell, after winning the talent show and scooping a cash reward of £250,000.
The band are set to release their first album Stars at the end of July.
