Chris Martin made his first public appearance, since announcing his split from Gwyneth Paltrow, at Thursday’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony.
And just days after Gywneth was seen wearing her wedding ring, the Coldplay frontman was without his.
Introducing British rocker Peter Gabriel into the Hall of Fame, Chris looked happy and relaxed as he took to the stage.

Wearing jeans, a white t-shirt and leather jacket, Chris greeted Peter with a big hug before joining Peter Gabriel in a performance.
The engagement came on the same day that it was revealed that it was Chris who decided the couple should make their split public.
A source told The New York Post’s Page Six: “It was his idea to announce the split. They had drifted apart, and there was no chance they’d get back together, so he felt it was wrong to keep pretending.”
On Tuesday Gwyneth posted an extremely rare photograph of her son Moses on his birthday, and the ring can be clearly seen as Gywneth hugs her eight-year-old closely in the snap.
In a joint statement confirming their split in march, Chris and Gwyneth said, “It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate.

“We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate.”
In the wake of their split, Chris has also been getting involved in a new project – the US version of The Voice.
The rockstar appeared as a mentor on the show at the end of March, offering advice to two of judge Blake Shelton’s contestants.
Today’s news that Kylie will not return to her seat as a judge of the UK version of The Voice has also meant odds have been slashed on Chris taking a seat with will.i.am, Tom Jones and Ricky Wilson on the UK show.
