Still reeling with grief, the stars of Glee are each publicly coming to terms with the death of Cory Monteith in different ways, at different times.
Chris Colfer posted a picture of himself with Monteith on his Instagram account Thursday (July 25). He wrote, “I”ll never forget all the laughs we shared or the faces we made after awkward interview questionslove and miss you, buddy.”
Monteith died July 13th from a lethal dose of heroin and alcohol. He was 31.
Colfer and Monteith were two of the original stars of the FOX-TV hit (and original members of the series glee club), which premiered in 2009. Their characters later became stepbrothers as well.
Glee stars Diana Agron, Jane Lynch, Matthew Morrison, Jenna Ushkowitz, Chord Overstreet, Darren Criss and others have previously posted comments, sang musical tributes, or granted interviews about Monteiths passing.
Monteiths on-screen and real-life girlfriend Lea Michele, however, is still grieving privately. Numerous sources have said she remains inconsolable.
Glee is set to resume production on its sixth season August 5th. FOX has pushed the season premiere back to September 26th. The third episode of the season will specifically address Monteiths death.
