Getting all gussied up to show off their latest work, Cate Blanchett and Peter Sarsgaard were on hand for the west coast premiere of “Blue Jasmine” on Wednesday (July 24).
Looking beautiful in black and white, the 44-year-old star of the film worked the AMPAS Samuel Goldwyn Theater red carpet while posing with her dapper co-star.
Also on hand for the theatrical festivities of the evening was “The Place Beyond the Pines” actress Rose Byrne, who wowed in a patterned white frock.
In a recent interview with CBSNews.com, Cate opened up accepting the role for the Woody Allen-directed flick before even knowing what it was about.
“Well, when Woody called and said he had a script, I”d already decided I was going to do it,” Blanchett revealed. “And then you just hope it”s a good one.”
“Blue Jasmine” is officially described as follows: “A life crisis causes a woman to head to San Francisco, where she reconnects with her sister”
