Adding another name to an already star studded line up, Carrie Underwood will take the stage at the 2013 Emmy Awards this week.
The country hit maker will perform as part of a segment honoring the 50th anniversary of both President John F. Kennedys assassination and The Beatles first stop at the Ed Sullivan Show.
Emmy executive producer Ken Ehrlich said in a release, “To have an opportunity to look back at a time that represented television”s finest hour in a program that celebrates so many of this year”s achievements is what makes the Emmys special. We are certain that viewers will enjoy this special tribute.”
Hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, the Emmys will air on Sunday, September 22 beginning at 8:00 on CBS.
