With his new drama “12 Years a Slave” slated to hit theaters October 18th, Brad Pitt scored the cover spot of The Hollywood Reporter”s latest issue.
Standing alongside co-star Chiwtel Ejiofor, the “Fight Club” hunk chatted about going against all odds in his recent horror flick “World War Z” and his thoughts on retiring from the big screen.

On his family while filming:
“We”d have many a night when everyone would say, “I am going home to have dinner with the kids” or “I”m going to give the kids a bath and I”ll be back in the cutting room. It was just our lives.”
On “World War Z”:
“I have done this long enough and have sat in editing rooms with enough talented people that I have a grasp of, “How do we shape things when they are not working” The idea was, let people see it and let them talk.”
On saying goodbye to his acting career:
“As I get older, I am enjoying more the proctorial side of things – not being so forefront in the camera – the creativity of putting the pieces together.”
