Lending a hand to help residents rebuild their lives after tornadoes ravaged Moore, Oklahoma earlier this month, Blake Shelton played host to Healing in the Heartland concert on Wednesday (May 29).
The country crooner, who was born and raised in Ada, Oklahoma, was joined at the sold out event by Miranda Lambert, Reba McIntyre, Usher, and Vince Gill to raise funds for relief organizations.
Speaking on the decision to hold the benefit in Oklahoma, Shelton told reporters, Everyone has their way to help and mine as an entertainer is to perform to help raise money and awareness for this tragedy. This is why I want to do this special and especially hold it in Oklahoma City, which is near ground zero.
Accompanied by fellow Voice coach Usher, Blake sang a cover of Michael Bubles hit Home,” while Miranda Lambert performed an emotional rendition of her song The House that Built Me during the powerful evening.
