Beyoncé posted pictures of the couple”s show of unity to her website
There was absolutely no hint of trouble as the concert came to an end with the duo singing Forever Young. Behind the power couple a montage of family pictures was played, featuring Blue Ivy, their two-and-a-half-year-old daughter.
Husband and wife then kissed and embraced, before the songstress shouted: “Last but not least, give it up for Mr. Carter”. Jay, real name Shawn Carter, gallantly returned the favour, telling fans: “No. Last but not least, give it up for Mrs. Carter.”
Later Mrs Carter posted pictures on her official website with the duo, giving victory signs.
Beyoncé and Jay Z performed before a host of stars
Beyoncé has clearly decided that the best way to address the rumours is through her art.
On Monday, the Grammy-winning singer released a remixed version of her single Flawless with Nicki Minaj with the lyrics changed to refer to the Met Gala lift incident when her younger sister Solange and 44-year-old Jay got into an altercation.
“Of course sometimes s*** goes down when there”s a billion dollars on an elevator,” Beyoncé sang in the new version.
Elsewhere in the track, the star makes it clear she supports both her sibling and her husband, singing, “My sister taught me how to speak my mind. My man make me feel so god damn fine.”
Throughout the recent controversy, 32-year-old Beyoncé has continued to share personal photos illustrating her happy home life. A recent photo showed her husband carrying Blue on a deserted beach captioned, “My favourite hue is Jay Z Blue.”
