With a diamante choker necklace and jewelled earrings, she was dripping in sparkling accessories.
But it was the rock on Anne Hathaway’s ring finger that took centre stage at a gala dinner on Sunday night.
The actress had debuted her new diamond in New York last week, shortly after the announcement of her engagement to actor and jewellery designer Adam Shulman.
Fiancé Adam – who created the $150,000 ring for Anne in collaboration with Kwiat Heritage Jewels – accompanied her to the dinner for Kennedy Center Honorees in Washington.
And the loved-up pair were positively beaming as they made their debut as an engaged couple on the red carpet.
Anne was stunning in a floor-length black strapless gown with a bow detail on the bust.
She teamed the gorgeous gown with satin platform stilettos and a leather clutch.
The actress was there to support her The Devil Wears Prada co-star Meryl Steep, who was being honoured.
The Kennedy Center Honors are given to those in the performing arts for their lifetime of contributions to American culture.
Meryl and Anne were also joined by Sarah Jessica Parker – who looked characteristically quirky in a puffball gown – and their other The Devil Wear Prada star, Emily Blunt, who arrived on the arm of husband John Krasinski.
The 28-year-old looked delightful in a full-length fuscia gown.
US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton preceded over the reception and dinner at the State Department.
She greeted the honorees wearing a duck-egg blue gown with gold embroidered roses.
