Shes always been a fierce advocate for the rights of others, and Angelina Jolie showed up in Jordan yesterday (June 18) to show support for Syrian refugees.
The Mr. and Mrs. Smith actress looked intense as she listened to several women tell their stories after escaping their war-torn homeland.
Angelina is a UNHCR Special Envoy, and she explained that her visit is to show support for Syrias refugees, to call on the world to address their plight, and to better understand needs in Jordan and other countries in the region most directly affected by this devastating conflict.
The worst humanitarian crisis of the 21st century is unfolding in the Middle East today. By the end of this year half of Syrias population ten million people are expected to be displaced and in desperate need.
