It”s been an interesting road for Amanda Bynes since the beginning of this past summer, and a judge has determined that she is mentally capable of understanding the nature of the criminal charges she faces.
Since Amanda has also been determined competent enough to face the DUI charges, her criminal case will move forward. Amanda”s lawyer, Rich Hutton, did not object to the findings, thus allowing the procedure to continue.
However, reports also state that, although the 27-year-old is capable of understanding the nature of legal proceedings, she is most likely unable to take care of herself.
Diagnosed with Schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, Amanda has been struggling for some time now, and sources also suggest that the DUI case will not appear before a jury, as there is the distinct possibility of a plea bargain.
