Adele Steps Out Post-Surgery with Her Pup in Tow

Adele, with dachshund Louie
After undergoing successful surgery to treat a hemorrhaged vocal chord, Adele stepped out of her London home on Wednesday with her main man – dachshund Louie – right beside her.

The Grammy-winning singer has been “doing really well” since the operation, and looked to be in good spirits when she was spotted for the first time. She carried Louie, named after Louis Armstrong, in a paw-print dog carrier, while unloading bags from a car with a friend.

Adele has been more than one reason to celebrate – she has at least six. Earlier this month, she was nominated for six Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year.

“A couple days after finally being able to talk again, I”m pretty speechless,” she wrote on her blog. “This has been the best year as it is but to end 2011 with this incredible achievement and honor is beyond anything I can express.”
