Capping a fantastic year for Adele, the singer arrived at Buckingham Palace on Thursday morning to receive an MBE.
The singer was given the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire for services to the music industry.
Pinning on her medal was Prince Charles, and others receiving the honour at the investiture were be fellow musician PJ Harvey, radio broadcaster Aled Jones and author Joan Harris.
It’s yet another 2013 accolade to add to the Golden Globe and Oscar statuette she has at home on her mantelpiece.
The mum-of-one, who likes to stay out of the spotlight, has declined to be interviewed by the press after the ceremony.
So there’ll be no opportunity for her to answer questions as to whether reports are true that she’s been asked to sing at Roman Abramovich’s lavish New Year’s Eve Party.
Adele is said to be thinking about the job offer, which would involve her flying to the Caribbean. The exclusive bash, is held at the private resort in St Barts which the Russian billionaire bought in 2009 for £59 million.
A sticking point might be that Roman is the director of Chelsea Football Club – the rival team of the singer’s beloved Tottenham Hotspur.
